3. **The World Ticket System: everyone can write everyone a ticket.** It is the only state store of

6. ## Decided so far
7. - Tickets belong to projects; numbers count per project from 1; URL `/projects/<project>/<number>`
8. (2026-09-24). Old global numbers #1–#40 stay resolvable.
9. - States: open, in progress, awaiting creator, confirmed, rejected, on hold. Workers can at most set
10. "awaiting creator"; "confirmed" means the creator tested it.

14. ## Login via ident (creator, 2026-09-24 — all seven points accepted as proposed)
15. 1. **Reading**: anyone, without logging in.
16. 2. **Writing** (create tickets, comment, change states other than confirm/reject): anyone logged in
17. through ident, in any project.
18. 3. **Confirming and rejecting**: only the creator.
19. 4. **Author** comes from the login; no free author field any more. Existing entries keep their author.
20. 5. **Machine clients** (the architect, later the scheduler) write with **API tokens** a tickets user
21. creates for themselves; a token acts as that user. The creator makes an ident identity "Architect",
22. logs in to tickets with it and creates a token for the architect.
23. 6. **Display name**: for now tickets asks for a display name once, at the first login. **Interim**: ident
24. will hand over properties during the first handshake (creator: "just not yet"); then the name
25. comes from ident and the question goes — keep the name a normal user field so it can be filled either way.
26. 7. **Setup**: tickets is registered in ident as an app with origin `https://tickets.worldapi.org`; the key
27. and secret are in tickets' `.env` on Byrodin as `IDENT_API_KEY` / `IDENT_API_SECRET` (set by the creator).
